Review

I really wish MGSV was finished. The game itself is SO much fun, taking the stealth of the older games and turning it into a sandbox is incredibly fun. While I prefer the older style of games, being able to just hop in and run around for a bit after finishing the story is really fun. I do really, really wish that the story was finished, though. A lot of the writing for the game, especially for Quiet, falls kinda flat since there's not really much outside of the main story. Quiet could've been a really cool character if they didn't just reduce her to Venom's love interest once she's taken into Mother Base. Kaz and Ocelot this game are pretty good, though. I just wish we got to see them on Mother Base and interact with them more outside of cutscenes. Same with Venom, I wish he had more voicelines throughout the game rather than being silent. It makes sense meta-wise, since Venom is supposed to be you (in a way), but it ends up just being a little boring at times. I do tend to find the "mission" type of story tedious, rather than just going in one shot. Having to run around a slightly-empty world to find another mission tends to get old a little quickly. The game is super fun, though. It's mostly the story/writing weighing it down. It's a fantastic game, and looks incredible too.
