As I'm writing this, I've finished Ventus' Story, and am in the middle of Terra's story. I think this may be my second favorite KH game, right behind KH2. I was not expecting to enjoy the command deck so much. I went into it thinking it was going to be KH lite, but the combat holds up SO well. I think being able to mix and match your moveset should've carried over to KH3 a lot more. The command styles are also REALLY fun in combat -- I was obsessed with changing into Wingblade whenever possible as Ventus. The Formchanges in KH3 were cool, but I wish it was implemented a little like the command styles rather than interrupting gameplay so much. I was really glad that Ventus' story was short (just coming out of Elden Ring with 65 hours for one playthrough...), and I thought it went over really smoothly. It also reinforced the fact that I really don't like the level design and cutscenes from KH3. It's really cool that each character has a different experience in each world, I'm honestly enjoying Terra's story more than I thought I would due to the fact that each world has something different to offer. Ventus' second fight against Vanitas was surprisingly hard, but once I finished it it was enjoyable. I don't think I'll 100% the game, as the minigames are REALLY annoying, and Mysterious Figure is really scaring me... The command board is also kinda fun. Not my favorite, but it's really easy to level up your commands on it. I'm super excited to finish Terra and Aqua's stories, as well as do the epilogue. I'll update once I finish those with a final review. Right now, it's my second favorite. I don't think it could really do anything to surpass KH2... but it's very close.
