Review

I LOVEEE Fight Club so much. It's my favorite movie ever. It has SO much sauce that I don't think I've seen in another movie, except for maybe Severance recently. The cinematography is so good. I love the beginning of the movie where Tyler's flashing in and out of view, and any of the scenes where the narrator or Tyler are speaking directly to the viewer. I've never seen it in another movie, but then again I haven't seen a TON of movies. Generally everything about the foreshadowing is so good that even though I knew the twist going into the movie (who doesn't) it still works REALLY well. It's such a good, fun watch in a weird depraved way. I adore so much about how the movie shows a gross side of masculinity and consumerism while still having a grungy aesthetic that feels "cool". As much as digital can do, I miss the look of film. The entire sequence where it's revealed that Tyler was never there is also SO good. The part where the narrator is talking with Tyler and Marla at the same time, and neither are in the same room together is one of my favorite shots in the movie. GO WATCH IT
